1967 Vintage Rickenbacker 360/12

Wonderful vintage Rickenbacker from early 1967 in Fireglo. Except for some nicks on the headstock ( from changing strings ) and some indentations ( I never know where these things come from but most every guitar has them......they don't break the surface of the finish ) this guitar would be in near mint condition. I would venture to say that you would be hard pressed to find a '67 in nicer condition. Beautiful crushed pearl inlays on pretty skinny and straight neck. Plenty of bridge clearance. Just a terrific vintage piece that will never lose it's value.

Blueberry Groove acoustic birds

Completely hand made and hand carved......this one with hundreds of grooves on the top......these guitars are quite simply awesome to play and they sound like nothing else. They have incredible volume and tone. The inlays made of mother of pearl and colored maple are beautiful. this guitar has the LRBaggs pickup so you can run it through your amp. Do some research on Blueberrys....they are tremendous instruments.

Epiphone Casino ASB Matsumoku

Early 80s Japanese Casino in Antique Sunburst. This was made at the Matsumoku plant in Japan. It is very rare to see one of these on this side of the Pacific as they were made mostly for the Japanese market. These Casinos are considered to be elitist quality and are extremely collectible. This has it;s original hard shell case which is in OK condition. The guitar is in oustanding condition with very little wear and only a few small marks.

Fender 57 limited edition amp

Limited to 300 amps, this Fender 57 is 12 watts of rock and roll royalty. Using only the best technicians in the Fender Custom Shop it took nearly 2 years to come up with this design. It is amazingly beautiful and it sounds tremendous. Black piano lacquer finish with a Celestion blue alnico speaker.....it absolutely screams. Comes with a leather portfolio with COA and other goodies and a padded cover. Rarer than rare......all but impossible to find this would be th cornerstone of any amp collection. There are a few marks on this one but hard to find and very unobtrusive.
Fender aluminum flag

After making the special Harley Davidson guitar in 1993 Fender had a bunch of aluminum bodies left over. Some, they used for the Aloha Strat and a few other limited editions like this flag guitar. These were made along with a tie-dyed blue and a tie-dye purple guitar......in fact 400 of the three were produced. We dont know the breakdown but we do know that the flag guitar
was made in much fewer numbers than any of them. Pretty cool guitar......sounds like a Strat with just a hint of chime to it.
Fender American Standard Stratocaster Limited edition

2009 Fender American Standard Stratocaster limited edition with matching painted headstock. Only 500 of these were made....there were 3 color choices and this was by far the coolest.......surf green.......I mean........the color just screams Strat....add the matching painted headstock and it's almost nirvana!!!
This is an as new example with original Fender TSA case. These will get harder and harder to find.
Fender American Telecaster limited edition surf green MHS

In 2009 Fender created a special limited edition run of Strats and Teles with matching headstocks. They were only made in 3 colors: Fiesta Red, Daphne (I think) Blue and Surf Green. 150 of each color were produced between the Strat and the Tele......I dont know the breakdown from there.....let's just say there are about 75 of each color and guitar floating around the world. You get the picture......rare......hard to come by. This one is near mint with all the case goodies. Check out the picture of my twins and buy 'em both!!

Fender made these for about 10 years between 1984-1994 under the direction of Jimmy D'aquisto himself. It is truly an outstanding guitar......beautiful design and oh what a sound. Very versatile. Gorgeous appointments.....binding all around including neck, headstock, F-holes and even pick guard, ebony fretboard, pickguard and tailpiece. You wouldn't expect this out of Fender but they really knocked it out of the park with this one.

Fender Freddy Tavares Aloha Stratocaster

Only 153 were made out of aluminum with Hawaiian scenes etched into them. Freddy Tavares was one of the designers of the Strat and a long time Fender employee. These were made to commemerate him. George Amicay was one of the principal designers of this guitar and this particular guitar I have here was given to George upon completion of the run as a thank you for his participation. I have a letter from George explaining the history of this guitar.
Stunning inlay work, stunning metal etching, and an amazing playing guitar to boot. Incredibly rare. Should be the cornerstone of any Strat or Fender collector.

Fender Stratocaster Ford Shelby GT limited edition

Fender made one of these Shelby GT Stratocasters to auction off with the first production Shelby GT Mustang at the 2007 Barrett-Jackson auction. That Mustang/Stratocaster went for $600K. Everyone kept asking where they could get one of the guitars so Fender set up a limited edition production run of 200 instruments. Most went to Ford and industry bigwigs but a few were sold by some of Ford's largest and most respected dealerships. That's where this one came from. Absolutely mint, unplayed condition.....the ultimate cars and guitars collectible. Even the case is amazingly cool.

Can you tell I like Koa?? I just think it is one of the coolest looking tonewoods around. The grain and coloring is just incredible. This guitar has a hand painted pick guard which really sets off the beautiful wood. Although made in Korea, it's still Fender and still goes through the quality checks their masterbuilds go through. Gibson Country Gentleman

Gibson Chet Atkins Country Gent from 1990. Gibson produced the Country Gentleman from 1987-2005. In between endorsements for Gretsch, Chet Atkins lent his name to the Gibson version for this period. Not many of these were made and they are simply fantastic guitars. Made in Country Gentleman Brown, Wine Red and Sunrise Orange which we have here. Hard to find and terrific to play.
Gibson CS-356 Custom Shop Koa

Tremendously rare Gibson ES-356 with a stunning Koa top. I believe they made something like 25 of these so obviously you don't often see them come up for sale. The Koa top is incredibly beautiful and resonates like you wouldn't believe. Koa is one of my all time favorite tone woods but as the Koa trees are not that plentiful there just isn't a lot of wood available for guitar making. This guitar is near mint with the original hardshell case.
Gibson ES-335 1979 sunburst w/ Bigsby

30 year old vintage Gibson ES-335 with Bigsby. Neck pickup was replaced with a DiMarzio 59 but the original pickup and the original trapeze tailpiece is still with the guitar. This is THE best sounding 335 I have EVER come across in my life......I kid you not.......this thing will absolutely blow you away. Factory coil tap and original hard case. Excellent +++ condition.....a few marks here and there but really.......terrific shape for a 30 year old.

Gibson J-160 Ltd Ed John Lennon 70th Birthday

We all know that the Beatles liked their Gibson J160s.....If I'm not mistaken
they all had one at one time or another ( maybe not Ringo ). Gibson decided to commemorate what would have been John's 70th birthday by issuing 3 limited edition models of the J-160. One is a rather plain version meant to represent the guitar in the condition like when he owned it. That lists for about $4800. Another edition has drawings from his bed-ins in the late 60s in Montreal and Amsterdam......that one has a list of $14800. This version is called the Imagine and was designed by Yoko and is supposed to be what John would have liked to do to the guitar had he lived......list pricr $10,748. Only 70 of the Imagines will be produced with 35 of them going overseas. This is brand new and an amazing collectible not to mention a great guitar.

Gretsch 6120LSB.....lacquered sunburst. Pretty rare....they only made these for a short while. This guitar has the upgraded TV Jones pickups and I can honestly say it is THE best playing Gretsch I have had. I usually find some set-up problems with Gretsches......buzzing or dead frets or high action. Whoever set this guitar up knew what they were doing....it plays like butter.
And.......those TV Jones pups can really growl......GREAT stuff!!

Tremendous 1963 Gretsch Country Gentleman very much like the one George Harrison used with the Beatles ( his was in fact a 1962). Dual dial up mutes, fake F holes, filtertron pickups. Absolutely amazing how clean this guitar is......to be in this great a shape after 48 years is very rare. Just a bit of finish loss from previous owner trying to protect it and using the wrong material.....could easily be fixed but it's so unobtrusive, I'd leave it. Even the binding is completely intact.....not a bit of rot to be found!!!

1988 Rickenbacker 350 which is the full scale version of John Lennon's model 325. No longer in production having been replaced by the 350v63....the differences being that this guitar has the "R" tailpiece, a slightly smaller headstock and originally came with high gain pickups. This guitar was unfortunately a victim of rapid weather change which cracked the clearcoat. Rickenbacker restorer/repairer extraordinaire Larry Davis brought it back to life big time by installing toaster pickups and a stunning honeyburst finish. One of a kind......just gorgeous.

This is a rare bird indeed. Only 250 of the signature Suzanna Hoffs model 350 were made.....they came with a signed pickguard and a certificate and are one of the rarer Rickenbackers ever made. Rickenbacker used to produce a few extra guitars when they made artist signature models to be used for warranty issues and such. When the warranty period expired, Rickenbacker put a few of these together without the pickguard and the cert.......they really are rarer than the artist model. The warranty card reads: 350SH. Ridiculously rare 1966 Rickenbacker 366/12 WBBS convertible guitar. The label which came from inside the cavity specifies the color as autumnglo.....looks very much like fireglo to me. WBBS stands for "with binding both sides". They made a very few ( estimates range from 3 to 5 ) of these convertibles.....the chrome comb engages the 6 octave strings and moves them out of the way so that this guitar can be played as a 6 string or a 12 string. There is a small bare spot on the back and a little bit of play wear but for a guitar of this vintage it is in remarkable condition. Ever seen another one???

Ultra rare Rickenbacker 481 SF meaning slant fret in a gorgeous white which has kept pretty white. Most white finishes turn yellow over the years....I'd call this one a light cream but it is uniform and not blotchy. A very few small blemishes.......way fewer than you would expect on a 33 year old guitar. All original except a newer non original case. Binding on the front of the body and the neck as well. This is just a really cool, unusual, unique guitar.

Tremendous guitar produced by a consortium including Dave Mason. Looks a bit different but plays and feels like nothing else. Using only top notch parts it's unfortunate that the company could not survive with the prices they were charging. This white example is quite rare and of course since they're out of business it's going to become a lot rarer. Ergonomically, it beats any other guitar I've ever held. Tonally........think Les Paul meets Stratocaster.....what more could you ask for????

zRickenbacker 370/12 SPC Jetglo w/ Tonewerks compressor

When Rickenbacker produced an artist signature guitar like the Roger McGuinn 370/12, they would always make about a half dozen extra "shells" to be used in case of warranty issues or shipping damage, etc. Once the warranty period expired they would complete the shells without the signature pickguard or any other distinguishing features for that model. They would label these SPC (special). The SPCs are rare instruments in their own right and highly collectible. This guitar is one of those that were made for the Roger McGuinn series 370/12 RM. Some call these "overruns" but that's kind of a misnomer. This guitar is near mint and wonderful. You really get to own a McGuinn at a fraction of the price. This guitar now has been wired to include a built in compressor just like the McGuinn models. the wiring was performed by Tonewerks and it is fantastic!!!!
